Gaining in popularity, BIAB is a type of manicure that aims to be as long-lasting and hard-wearing as acrylic nails, but without the traditional damage that can be associated with them. BIAB stands for ‘builder in a bottle’ and was created by British gel nail polish brand The Gel Bottle. It’s basically a nail strengthening gel that can be built up to create a hard-wearing, shiny finish. Unlike gel or shellac polishes, BIAB is made of ingredients that work to strengthen and nourish the nail, so it helps to harden your natural nails while you wear it. BIAB nails are a great option for anyone looking to grow or strengthen their natural nails. It’s also a good choice for nail biters; the gel is much thicker and stronger than a standard polish, so it’s more resistant to biting.

BIAB can be used alone, together with extensions or as a base underneath traditional gel polish to add extra strength. It’s available in a growing range of shades, so it can be used as a standalone polish or as a great base for nail art.

Nail Extensions – additional artificial nail put on the existing nail to make it appear longer and more appealing while also adding attractiveness to the fingertips. Nail extensions come with Acrylic and Fiberglass for added toughness and longevity and are completed with nail gel or BIAB before gel polish can be applied.

Shellac manicures are popular for their chip-resistant, durable and long-lasting nature, making them a preferred choice for individuals who want a polished look that endures daily activities. With a wide range of colours, from classic shades to bold, trendy and bright, this allows individuals to customize their manicure according to their preferences.  “Shellac” specifically refers to a brand of gel polish developed by CND. Similar products from other brands may be referred to as a gel polish/ gel manicure.
